Xiomi Redmi Note 6 Pro Review- FullPhone Specifications, Price

Xiomi is basically a Chinese company and it arrived in India in July 2014 with its Mi 3 in partnership with Flipkart. Xiomi has gained a huge popularity in India as it offers budget Android smartphones with high specifications while other companies like Samsung, Nokia fail to provide such specifications at this budget. At present, Realme, a sub-brand of OPPO is giving strong competition to Xiomi as it also launches some quality smartphones with aggressive pricing compared to Xiomi. Though the competition in smartphone market is very high, Xiomi is still able to hold its position and it becomes no.1 smartphone selling brand in India. With the launch of POCO F1 that consists of Snapdragon 845 under 20,000, the company makes the path very difficult for the companies like Samsung, Oneplus, LG etc.

However, in India, Xiomi recently has launched another new smartphone which is Redmi Note 6 Pro and we can easily say it is the successor to the Redmi Note 5 Pro that was launched some months ago. The phone comes with Snapdragon 636 and the price of the base variant is 13999. Though we cannot say that it is a major upgrade of Redmi Note 5 Pro as both has same processor (Snapdragon 636), but the quad camera and notch display make the differences. Before discussing about Redmi Note 6 Pro in detail, let’s see the key specifications and price in detail

Xiomi Redmi Note 6 Pro Design review

Xiomi placed the power button and volume buttons on the right and there is a 3.5 mm headphone jack, a secondary microphone, IR blaster on the top. On the left side, the phone has hybrid dual-sim tray. Though the phone has 4000mAh battery, it feels comfortable to hold and it is because of its curved design in the back. At the bottom, Xiomi placed a micro USB port and there are grilles on both sides of the Micro-USB port but only the right side consists of loudspeaker. At this point, it must be mentioned that other companies like NOKIA, Motorola are offering USB TYPE-C port at this price point but on the other side Xiomi is providing Micro-USB port and it is a negative aspect of this smartphone.

Redmi Note 6 Pro has a 19:9 FHD+ display and considering the price, it must be mentioned that it has an awesome display and the notch makes the display more attractive. If you are not a notch lover, there is an option where you can hide the notch. It has Corning Gorilla Glass protection and so you don’t have to worry if it falls. The display has a pleasing design and the side view is also very good. Even in the sunlight, you will get a vibrant and clear view. Shortly, for the movie lovers, the display will provide nothing but a heavenly pleasure.

Redmi Note 6 Pro - Best Camera Smartphones

Xiomi has made this phone for the camera lovers. Yes, it has quad cameras; 12MP + 5MP in the back and 20MP + 2MP in the front. The 12 MP camera in the back has 1.4 micron pixel size and dual- pixel autofocus. It has f/1.9 aperture whereas Note % Pro has f/2.2 aperture. The secondary camera that is 5MP is added for taking portrait shots with a depth effect. Overall performance of rear cameras is excellent and you will not regret after purchasing this. On the other side, it has 20MP + 2MP selfie camera setup in the front. It has 4-in-1 super pixel technology that will make your selfies outstanding.

Xiomi has added AI Scene Detection and AI Portrait 2.0 and these AI will enhance the performance of the cameras. Xiomi has confirmed that the rear cameras can recognize 32 scenes and on the other side the front cameras are able to recognize 12 scenes using AI technology.

The phone can detect the edges perfectly and even after taking shots, users can adjust the level of blur and they can also adjust studio lighting. In low light condition, you will not be disappointed as you can adjust the shutter speed in order to capture more light for getting a good result. Though the photos captured in low light are not as sharp as the photos captured in day light, but you still have the best outcome considering the price.

Selfie lovers can purchase this without any doubt as it has dual camera setup in the front and the phone has AI beautification, auto HDR mode, the edge detection in the portrait mode is also great. After taking selfies, users can adjust the level of beauty as well as smoothness.

The device has a negative aspect in this particular section as it cannot record 4K video and the optical image stabilization is not up to the mark but it can be improved through a software update.

Xiomi Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with Android Oreo 8.1 and it consists of Snapdragon 636 which is an octa core processor clocked at 1.8 GHz. Besides it has two variants (4/64, 6/64). In terms of performance, the users do not have to worry as Snapdragon 636 is a powerful processor and it can run most applications and heavy games as it has adreno 509 GPU. It can run heavy games like ASPHALT 9, Modern Combat 4 smoothly. PUBG mobile can be played at the lowest setting without any frame drop. But it gets slightly warm at the top after playing the game for a while.

The AnTuTu benchmark score of the device is 116856 and it is quite good. Besides it managed 34fps in the T-Rex test in GFXBench.

Redmi Note 6 pro comes with a 4000mAh non removable battery and the battery performance of this phone is superb as Snapdragon 636 is a battery efficient processor and you can use this device whole day without a single charge. The device also supports quick charging and therefore you don’t have to worry if you have a fast charger.

Xiomi Redmi Note 6 Pro is undoubtedly a very good smartphone and it is better than Redmi Note 5 Pro if we focus on the camera performance. But for the gamers, this phone will not provide a satisfactory outcome as it has the same old Snapdragon 636 processor. For a normal user and selfie lovers this phone is perfect at this price segment. Everything has positive and negative aspects and this phone is not an exceptional piece.
